The American Vintage series was released by Fender in 1982, and is a very popular model that reproduces the 1962 vintage. The current series has been upgraded to American Vintage II series.

This time, we have a new arrival in Japan, which was made in 1999. Alder body, Rose fretboard, and C shape maple neck are finished in orthodox style. The total weight is 4.12kg, which is standard weight and easy to handle. There are some marks on the body end where the lacquer seems to have melted, and a mark on the contour side of the front of the body where a sticker seems to have been removed, but overall there are few scratches and not much signs of use.

The sound is creamy and sticky, typical of a plebe. The overall sound is voluminous, with a wide range of mids rather than lows.

The neck is almost straight, the frets are a little low but there is still plenty of room, and the truss rod is a little tight but works fine.
