USED PROCO / RAT White Face, manufactured in 1985 [03]

It’s no exaggeration to call the RAT the gold standard of distortion pedals; its sound can be heard on many historic albums.
This is a particularly popular model from the 1980s “White Face” era, a USA-made model with a straight-sided enclosure.
Based on the pot data and serial number, we have determined it was manufactured in 1985, and it features a National Semiconductor LM308N IC. It is characterized by a distortion sound with a pleasant roughness and density unique to that era.
