We have received a used NATIONAL M-1 Tricone.

This is the “M-1 Tricone,” a wood-body Tricone model crafted by National Reso-Phonic, a leading brand in resonator guitars.

Key specifications include a laminated mahogany body, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, a scale length of approximately 652 mm (25 21/32 inches), and a nut width of approximately 46.2 mm.

Its most distinctive features are the three aluminum resonator cones mounted inside the body and the T-bridge. While offering the rich overtones and long sustain characteristic of traditional Tricone guitars, the combination with the mahogany body results in a sound with warmth and depth that sets it apart from metal-bodied resonators.

As for its condition, in addition to dents, scratches, and tarnish on the metal parts, there are minor areas of paint peeling and cracks, and it shows signs of aging and wear commensurate with its age.

There is a slight bulge on the body top.

The neck has been straightened with an iron at our shop and currently has a very slight forward bow. The string height at the 12th fret is approximately 2.6 mm on the 6th string side and approximately 2.2 mm on the 1st string side. Additionally, the back of the neck has been refinished at our shop. Please note that this instrument has a repair history.

The truss rod has been tested for movement up to 60 degrees in both directions, and there are currently no issues with its adjustment function. The frets have been leveled by our shop; there are no significant irregularities, and they maintain a playable height. Approximately 70% of the fret material remains.

It comes with the original hard case.
