This is a Corn Alto Saxophone, model New Wonder 2. This particular instrument was manufactured around 1928. It features the characteristic rich, full-bodied sound typical of Corn instruments, combined with the distinct edge often associated with nickel-plated finishes. Its character differs from the 6M model, and it remains popular to this day among many who appreciate the New Wonder sound.Its sound differs from the typical richness of modern saxophones, offering a natural, full-bodied tone that is particularly appealing. The micro-tuning device is malfunctioning and shows some signs of wear, but the instrument is otherwise in good working order. All pads have been replaced, so it’s ready to play right away.
