This guitar is derived from Gretsch’s legendary “Country Gentleman” model, named after the legendary guitarist Chet Atkins.

With its traditional double cutaway, elegant walnut finish, and gold hardware, its appearance is the very essence of classic Gretsch. The most distinctive feature of this model is that, unlike the “fake F-holes” painted onto the Country Gentleman, this guitar features actual F-holes cut into the body.

The rich resonance produced by the open-body design, combined with crisp Filter’Tron-style pickups, delivers the distinctive Gretsch sparkle and a unique tone that balances sweetness with just the right amount of edge.

It also features a Bigsby tremolo. Combining a classic look, rich resonance, and Gretsch’s distinctive sound, this guitar truly lets you experience the “good old days of Gretsch.”
Condition
Overall, there are signs of wear and tear due to age and use, such as minor dents, scuffs, tarnished parts, and peeling plating; however, there is no major damage, and the guitar remains in good condition overall.

There is a crack in the pickup escutcheon.

* The truss rod has about 3/4 of a turn of adjustment remaining in the loosening direction.
* The frets have approximately 70% of their original depth remaining. They have been filed down.
* The Bigsby tremolo arm has been replaced, but the original arm is included.
