USED GIBSON CUSTOM / Les Paul Custom Silver Burst [03]

We’ve just received a used 2014 Les Paul Custom!
From 2013 to 2014, to recreate the vintage tone, the manufacturer adopted animal glue for the neck joint and fingerboard, switched to a tubeless truss rod, and refined various parts—resulting in one of the most significant spec upgrades to date, making this a highly sought-after model on the used market.

Features a curved maple top, a 9-hole weight-relief mahogany back, and a mahogany neck. The design addresses one of the common concerns with Les Paul Custom models—weight—and achieves a balance between a moderate airiness and a tight, well-defined low-end tone.

Richlite is used for the fingerboard; this material is virtually unaffected by humidity and is characterized by a smooth feel and a tight, edgy sound with a distinct attack.

It is equipped with 490R and 498T pickups, which are characterized by excellent clarity in the mid-to-high frequencies and high output. Even when distorted, the sound remains clear and doesn’t get muddled, delivering a powerful, edgy tone suitable for everything from hard rock and metal to modern pop.

Overall, there are minor scratches, dents, scuffs, playwear, and buckle marks visible throughout the guitar.
Additionally, there are cracks caused by paint shrinkage scattered across the headstock logo and binding, as well as some tarnish on the hardware.
There are signs that the pots were replaced and the pickups were once removed, but the original pickups have been reinstalled.

The neck is in good condition, and there is plenty of fret life remaining.

While signs of use are visible in key areas, the guitar is still in good playing condition. Featuring the specs of a popular model year, this Les Paul Custom’s Silver Burst finish—with its understated elegance—is a real eye-catcher!
