We’ve just received a beautiful pre-owned Momose MJ1/R, featuring a classic style and the exceptional craftsmanship unique to Japanese-made instruments!!

From Momose—known for its high-level craftsmanship and meticulous finishing—we’ve received the MJ1/R, based on the traditional Jazz Bass style.
It features classic specifications: a two-piece alder body, a maple neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. GOTOH tuners and a bridge are used, and the nut is made of cow bone.
The control layout consists of 2 volume and 1 tone knobs (pull-up: Turbo switch), allowing for versatile sound shaping despite being a passive pickup. It features a top lacquer finish.

This model’s appeal lies in its clear, well-defined sound—true to the Jazz Bass—and its ease of play, which accommodates a wide range of nuances. From delicate phrases to powerful ensemble playing, it’s a versatile, practical model suitable for any genre.

The “Aska Quality” logo, indicating a model updated in 2026 or later, is printed on the back of the headstock.
