A 2025 Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Standard Heavy Aged has arrived!
The division led by aging master Tom Murphy uses a special, ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer developed based on years of scientific research. This authentically reproduces the superb tone and the vintage-specific weather checking—the subtle discoloration and patina that develop when a guitar is carefully stored in its case over time.

The “Heavy Aged” finish recreates the look of a guitar that’s been heavily played on tours and gigs, featuring realistic details such as paint chipping, buckle marks, paint peeling on the back of the neck, and aged hardware.

It features a two-piece figured maple top and a lightweight one-piece mahogany back. The rosewood fingerboard features rolled edges for a smooth, comfortable grip.
Traditional hide glue is used to join the body and neck, and the guitar features a tubeless truss rod. It boasts the excellent natural resonance and response characteristic of vintage instruments.

The neck shape is the “Authentic ’59 Medium C-Shape,” which offers a comfortable grip and maintains a consistent profile from the low to the high frets without extreme changes in thickness.

It is equipped with “Custombucker Alnico III (Unpotted)” pickups, which capture every subtle nuance of your picking and harmonic content, producing a clear, warm, and open tone reminiscent of a genuine PAF.

Due to the aged finish, the details of any scratches added later are unclear; however, the guitar shows almost no signs of wear and remains in excellent condition. The neck is in perfect condition, and the frets show almost no wear.

The deep, faded color and the grain that appears and disappears depending on the angle are reminiscent of a genuine ’59 Les Paul. The fingerboard also has a deep color, making this a truly stunning instrument with a super cool look!

Heavy Aged
