The 2010 Historic Collection 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue has arrived!
This is a transitional model from the period just before the full transition to the Memphis factory (around 2013) began, and it is a popular model crafted at the Nashville factory.

It features a plain laminated maple body, a deep-jointed one-piece mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. It incorporates the 1959 round profile, which offers a solid grip, resulting in a specification that feels substantial and satisfying to play.

It is equipped with “57 Classic” pickups, which pair exceptionally well with hollow-body guitars, producing a sound characterized by the airy quality and rich mids typical of semi-acoustic instruments. Combined with the neck’s secure grip, this guitar delivers a cohesive tone that projects powerfully—another key attraction.

Overall, there are signs of wear, including scratches, dents, tarnished hardware, and discoloration of the binding. Additionally, there is a large linear scratch on the top of the body and scattered dents on the back of the neck, but these do not affect playability.
The neck is in good condition, and the frets have about 70% of their original height remaining.

Unfortunately, accessories such as the certificate of authenticity and the original hard case are missing, but this is a well-played instrument in excellent “player’s condition” that’s ready to be enjoyed for years to come!
