The 40th Anniversary Custom 24 Limited Edition is limited to 400 pieces worldwide to commemorate the 40th anniversary of PRS Guitars, and features the iconic PRS design and special elements that are worthy of the Limited Edition name. The 40th Anniversary Custom 24 Limited Edition features the iconic PRS design and special elements that make it a Limited Edition model with special meaning not only to the musician, but to everyone who owns one.

The Custom 24 features the familiar combination of mahogany back and neck and maple top, with the rare artist grade maple on the body top and ziricote on the fingerboard and headstock veneer. The retro violin top curve with deeper curves on the body edges, outlined old school bird inlays, and the headstock eagle found on pre-factory period pieces are a tribute to the early PRS products. The pickups are new models.

The pickups are the new PRS DMO Treble and Bass, an acronym for DynamicMusicalOpen, designed by Paul Reed Smith and his engineering team in the New Product Development Department to deliver a spacious, transparent sound with the rich expressiveness of a singing voice. The new product was designed to deliver a wide, transparent sound and rich, sing-song-like expressiveness.

This model is the perfect way to kick off a year-long celebration of PRS' 40th anniversary.
