Gibson SG Standard Tobacco Sunburst made in 1975 is now in stock.

This is an SG Standard with late '72 or later specs.

The body and neck are made of solid mahogany with rosewood fingerboard.

The large head features the "Closed O" Gibson logo and a Schaller M6, a favorite of Jeff Beck, Larry Carlton, and others.
The 390mm wide 3-piece mahogany neck has a volute at the base of the head, which is typical of the 70's. The position marks have small block inlays. The position marks are small block inlays, and both side position marks are attached from the first fret. 19-fret joint with a step at the set section.

The bridge is equipped with "Wide Travel Tune-O-Matic Bridge" which has been in use for a short time and has a stop tailpiece without vibrato.

The pickups are equipped with two "tar backs," a characteristic of the sound of this era. The sound of this era is well reproduced in all registers with a strong sense of compressiveness, as you can tell from the music of this era.
The control cavity is sealed with aluminum sheet, and the pot date is "1377534/1377534/137xxx4/xxx7534", indicating that it was made in 1975. The condenser is (2) ceramic.

There are some scratches, dents, and paint peeling due to use, but considering the age, the wood is in relatively good condition without any modifications.
The frets are wide and low from the beginning, so they are not very high, but we could not confirm any sound clogging. The truss rod is confirmed to work in both directions.

1961年にLes Paul/SG として以前までのレスポールシェイプからダブルカッタウェイのソリッドギターシェイプへと変更されラインナップに加わったSG。以降様々な仕様変更を重ねますが、本機は72年後期以降のスペックのSG Standardでございます。

ボディ/ネックにはソリッド・マホガニーを使用し、ローズウッド指板の基本的なウッドマテリアル。

ラージヘッドには「Closed O」のギブソンロゴとジェフベックやラリーカールトンなどが愛用したScharller製M6を搭載。
ナット幅390㎜のネックは3ピース・マホガニーでヘッド付け根にはボリュートのある70年代らしい仕様。ポジションマークはスモールブロックインレイが使用され、サイドポジションマークともに1Fから付いております。19フレットジョイントでセット部には段差あり。

パーツはクロームを使用しており、ブリッジには登場から間もない「Wide Travel Tune-O-Matic Bridge」を搭載しビブラートの無いストップテイルピースの仕様。

ピックアップにはこの年代のサウンドの特徴でもある「タールバック」を２基搭載。コンプ感の強く全音域がしっかりと出たサウンドはこの時代の音楽をお聞きいただけれはお分かりいただけるはず...。
コントロールキャビティはアルミシートでシールディング加工がされており、ポットデイトは「1377534/1377534/137xxx4/xxx7534」と1975年製であることが分かります。コンデンサーは②セラミックを使用。

使用に伴う弾き傷や打痕、塗装剥がれなどございますが、経年を考慮すると木部の修正も無く比較的良好なコンデションでございます。
またフレットは初めから低く幅の広いWide＆Lowを使用しているのであまり高さはございませんが、音詰まりは確認できませんでした。トラスロッドも両方向動作することを確認しております。
