1968 L-5C

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1968 L-5C, the flagship of Gibson's archtop guitars.
Multiple layers of binding wrapped around the body, neck, and head, torch inlay sitting on the head.
F-hole binding and gold hardware.
More than half a century has passed since its manufacture, and this one has a vintage and high-class feel at the same time.

Body material
Top: Spruce
Side & Back: Maple
Neck Material: 5P Maple (Maple and Walnut laminate)
Fingerboard: Ebony
Pegs: Cruson seal fast gold knobs

Neck Condition: 6-string side has a slight forward warp, while the 1-string side is slightly straight. Truss rod has room in the tightening direction/loosening direction.

A Johnny Smith model pickup has been retrofitted.
Please use a mini-phone shield on the guitar side. (There is an accessory).

The pickguard is deteriorated.

Judging from the condition, the nut, frets, and bridge have probably been replaced.
There is a gap near the nut due to shrinkage of the binding.
The height of the bridge pedestal has enough room, so it is possible to adjust the string height to lower it further in the future.
There are no problems with playing the instrument as it is now.

ボディ、ネック、ヘッドに何重にも巻かれたバインディング、ヘッドに鎮座するトーチインレイ。
fホールバインディング、ゴールドのハードウェア。
製造から半世紀以上経ち、ヴィンテージ感と高級感を同時に漂わせる一本です。

・トップ:スプルース
・サイド&バック：メイプル
ネック材:5Pメイプル(メイプル、ウォルナット薄板)
指板材：エボニー
ペグ：クルーソン製シールファストゴールドノブ

ネックの状態:６弦側が少しの順反りに対して、１弦側はわずかにストレート気味です。トラスロッド締め方向余裕あり/緩め方向余裕あり。

ジョニースミスモデルのピックアップが後付けされております。
ギター側がミニフォーンのシールドを使用する必要がございます。(付属品あり)

ピックガードの劣化がございます。

状態から判断してナット・フレット・ブリッジは交換されていると思われます。
バインディングの縮みにより、ナット付近に隙間有り。
ブリッジ台座の高さは余裕があるため、今後の弦高調整でさらに低くすることが可能です。
現状演奏には問題ございません。
