Used 1990 Ibanez GB-10 George Benson Sunburst in stock.

Influenced by Charlie Christian, Wes Montgomery, and Billy Butler of Benny Goodman's band, George Benson participated in the sessions for Miles Davis' "Miles In The Sky" in 1968, and in the 1970s, after transferring to WARNER RECORDS, his first album "Breezin'" was a big hit. In the 1970s, after moving to Warner Records, George Benson had a big hit with his first album "Breezin'" and gained a lot of popularity.

George Benson's signature model "GB-10" was introduced to the market in 1977 by Ibanez. This full acoustic guitar model has undergone almost no design changes and is still in production today.

This model was manufactured by Terada Gakki in 1990.
The body is made of spruce top with maple sides/back, the neck is 3-piece maple with volutes, and an ebony fingerboard. The binding f-holes and the head and body top/back surfaces are 5-ply, and the side surfaces are 3-ply multi-binding, which is a fine art.

The head features the George Benson model's original GB inlay and Gotoh pearloid tuners.
The neck is decorated with gorgeous Acrylic & Abalone block inlay, and the neck profile has a thin shape typical of Japanese-made guitars of this period.

Two "GB special pickups" are mounted exclusively for this model.

Gold parts are used for hardware, and it is equipped with rubberized knobs and a special tailpiece that can adjust the tension of both treble and bass strings.

Truss rod has plenty of room.
The neck is currently straight.
There are some minor scratches and dents on the entire body, but it is quite clean for its age.

ベニー・グッドマン楽団のチャーリー・クリスチャンやウェス・モンゴメリー、ビリー・バトラーなどに影響を受け、1968年にMiles Davisの「Miles In The Sky」のセッションに参加、1970年代にはWARNER RECORDSへ移籍後最初のアルバム「Breezin'」で大ヒットし多くの人気を得たジョージ・ベンソン。

Ibanezより1977年に市場に登場したジョージ・ベンソンのシグネイチャーモデル「GB-10」。デザインの変更が殆無く、現在でも生産されているフルアコースティックギターモデル。

本機は寺田楽器で製作された1990年製。
ボディはスプルーストップにメイプルのサイド/バックを使用し、ネックはボリュートがある3ピース・メイプル、エボニー指板を使用。バインドFホールやヘッドやボディトップ/バック面には5プライ、サイド面には3プライのマルチバインディングが施されている、芸の細かい仕様。

ヘッドにはジョージ・ベンソン・モデルオリジナルのGBの入ったインレイやGotoh製パーロイドチューナーを搭載。
ネックには豪華なAcrylic & Abalone block inlay があしらわれ、ネックプロファイルはこの頃の日本製らしい薄めなシェイプを採用。

ピックアップには本モデル専用の「GB special pickup」を2基搭載。

ハードウェアにはゴールドパーツを使用し、ゴム付きのノブや、高音弦/低音弦それぞれのテンションを調整する事ができる専用テールピースを搭載しております。

トラスロッドは、余裕あり
現状ネックはストレート
ボディ全体に、細かなスリ傷、打痕有りますが、年代の割にはかなりきれいな方だと思います。
