We’ve received a rare, early-model E-230TD Casino from the first production year featuring the bikini logo.
It is equipped with an original P-90 pickup.
The control knobs are original, and the rear volume pot bears the date code "1346043," indicating it was manufactured in 1960. There is a slight drop in volume when the front and rear volume controls are turned all the way up, but sufficient volume is produced around the 9 o'clock position, so it should not interfere with playing. Since these appear to be original parts, we have left them as is. Please let us know if you would like us to clean the pots after purchase.
It is equipped with Black Beauty capacitors.
The midrange is well-defined, and the low end is rich without losing definition.
It has a vintage sound that makes you want to keep playing forever.

The pickguard is a single-ply tortoiseshell, but the "e" mark is missing. Part of the label inside the body is missing. The nut, bridge, pickup cover, and the 9th and 17th fret dot position marks have been replaced.
Although this guitar has undergone numerous repairs around the neck and headstock, it has been thoroughly restored. There are no issues with its current playability.
