For customers residing in Japan
We have received a 1967 Gibson EB-2C in Cherry Red.

The EB-2 features the same body design as the ES Model, which debuted in the spring of 1958.
Initially, it featured two round cutaways, an F-hole, a single humbucking pickup, and a short scale. However, specifications were revised over the years, with a Varitone switch added in 1959 and a string mute introduced in 1960. Production was suspended between 1962 and 1963 but resumed in 1964 and continued through 1972.

Based on the serial number, this instrument is believed to have been manufactured in 1967.
The body is made of laminated maple, with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. The set neck features a deep joint.

The neck, which lacks binding, features dot position marks, and there are signs that the neck has been reset at some point.

It is equipped with a single humbucker pickup and features a 1-Vol/1-Tone/Baritone Button control layout.
The mild bass sound characteristic of the Gibson EB is very smooth, and the tone can be altered by pressing the baritone switch.

The pot date is "1376628/137XXXX," indicating that it uses CTS pots manufactured in 1966.

The hardware is chrome, and it features a plate-style combination bridge. The knobs are black hat knobs with metal tops. It features a 3-ply truss rod cover and pickguard (which has warped slightly due to age).

There are numerous scratches and dents from age and use, and the finish is peeling. The screw holes for the pickup fence and mute mechanism have been filled.
The Varitone switch is functional, but please be aware that there are issues with poor contact, crackling, and noise.
The instrument has been fully adjusted at our repair center. The frets are original, with approximately 60% remaining, and the instrument plays smoothly without any buzzing. We have confirmed that the truss rod turns 60 degrees in both directions.
