For customers residing in Japan
Fender Stratocaster made in 1972 is now in stock.

The Fender Stratocaster was born in the 1950s and has been loved by many musicians around the world.

This 1972 Fender Stratocaster was made after Fender was acquired by CBS. The large head has a truss rod adjustable bullet from the head side.
The neck plate has a three-point fastening, and there are many other differences from the Fenders of the 1950s through the mid-1960s.
Many Fenders from the 1970s used ash for the body, but this one is made of alder.
This is a black-colored instrument, which has been rarely seen in recent years.

The neck date is stamped 22JAN72B, which indicates that this is a B neck made in January 1972.

All pickups are gray bobbins. The date is 0022 for the front/center.
Rear pickups are 0022 as well as the other two, although only the last number is not visible due to the hole piece.

The selector has been changed to a CRL 5-way. The pots are all '71, but the volume and front tone are probably dead stock parts.

The wood around Tone 2 on the control cavity has been machined, exposing the original wood color.

The pickguard has an unglazed backside, consistent with the original.
The pegs were once installed with different ones, and there are traces of holes that were filled in.
In addition, the holes on the bushing side have been widened. The peg fixing screws are a mixture of different lengths and shapes.

The bridge is mounted with a separate plate and block. The block is square on the top of the desk, which is the last separate type in 1972.
The saddle is also a pressed type, and the bridge unit alone is quite a rare item.

The nut and frets have been replaced, and the entire neck has been over-lacquered.
The frets have been replaced with thicker and taller ones than the original, and the playability is excellent.

There are many changes from the original, but the important parts of the original have been kept and the guitar is in true player's condition.

This is a rare alder body in the original black color.
This is a great 70s guitar to use and to look at, and we hope you will welcome it as your partner.

It comes with a 70s Fender hard case, although not original.
