K. Yairi is one of Japan's leading acoustic guitar makers. Still at the forefront of acoustic guitar manufacturing, K. Yairi is a top-class acoustic guitar maker in both name and reality.

This 2008 OR-203 CUSTOM is a limited edition model based on the OR-203 of the time, but with gorgeous specs that are far removed from the regular OR-203!

Solid spruce TOP, solid rosewood SIDE & BACK, mahogany NECK, ebony fingerboard & bridge, non-scalloped bracing, 42.4mm nut measured, 645mm scale slope shoulder dreadnought body.

The regular OR-203 was a matte-finish model with relatively simple decorations, but this limited edition model is quite gorgeous with ivy inlays, Avalon trim and rosette, and gloss finish!

The soundhole rosette and body trim are made of Avalon shells, the fingerboard inlay seems to be made of celluloid for the ivy and white butterfly shells for the flowers, and the fingerboard inlay shines clearly from all directions!

The sound is very responsive, loud, and powerful! K. Yairi guitars generally have an impression of being a little thin, but this one has a thick base tone with a solid core and a rosewood edge, giving it a bright and voluminous sound that is refreshing to the ear.

When played with a flat pick, it produces a bright, edgy sound that is also pleasant to the ear, and when fingered, it produces a clear, deep sound with good response and graininess of each note. It can be used for all genres and styles of playing.

The condition of the instrument is relatively clean. It is relatively clean. There are some minor scratches and dings scattered from the center of the body end to the sides.
However, overall, there are no major external defects. There are no cracks in the paint or wood.

K.YAIRI's all solid and shell-wound model is a gorgeous gem, comparable to the flagship model DY-45!

日本を代表する老舗アコースティック・ギター・メーカーK.ヤイリ。今なお第一線で活躍する名実共にトップ・クラスのアコースティック・ギター・メーカー。

今回入荷は2008年製のOR-203 CUSTOM。当時のOR-203を基にした限定モデルですが、レギュラーのOR-203からはかけ離れた豪華スペックの逸品!!

スプルースTOPソリッド、ローズウッドSIDE&BACKソリッド、マホガニーNECK、エボニー指板＆ブリッジ、ノン・スキャロップ・ブレーシング、実測42.4ｍｍナット、645ｍｍスケールのスロープ・ショルダー・ドレッドノート・ボディー。

レギュラーのOR-203は比較的シンプルな装飾のマット・フィニッシュのモデルでしたが、こちらの限定モデルはツタのインレイやアバロン・トリム＆ロゼッタ、グロス・フィニッシュなどかなり豪華な作りになっています！

サウンドホール・ロゼッタやボディー・トリムはアバロン貝、指板のインレイはツタの部分はセル、花の部分は白蝶貝で作られているようで、どの方向から見ても指板のインレイは鮮明に輝いています!!

そのサウンドは反応が良くラウドに鳴るパワフル・サウンド！K.ヤイリは一般的に少し音の線が細い印象がありますが、こちらの個体はしっかりと芯の太い基音にローズウッドのエッジ感が加わり、耳当たりこそ爽やかながらブライトでボリューム感のあるサウンドを響かせます。

フラットピックで掻き鳴らせば、ブライトでエッジ感きつめなサウンドながら艶やかで耳当たりの良いサウンドを奏でますし、フィンガーで爪弾いても反応が良く一音一音の粒立ちの良いクリアーで奥行きのあるサウンドが得られますので、あらゆるジャンルやプレイ・スタイルでオールマイティーに使える個体です。

コンディションは、演奏に支障となるものはございません。比較的きれいな個体です。ボディエンド中心付近からサイドに渡り細かい傷や、小さな打痕が、点在しております。
ですが、全体的に大きく外観を伴うようなものはございません。塗装や木部のクラックもございません。

K.YAIRIでオール・ソリッド＆貝巻きモデルとなると、、フラッグシップ・モデルDY-45にも匹敵する豪華な逸品かと思います!!
