Creation of a new sound. This was the keyword for the development of the FUTURE FACTORY FF-1Y. In FUTURE FACTORY, the phase of the LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) used for the modulation function generally changes with a regularity in a set period. FUTURE FACTORY has succeeded in creating a modulation sound with a unique method in which the phase changes randomly when the signal passes through a certain level of attenuation. This creates an unprecedented sound that shimmers and floats and fills the space. (This feature is most effective when used in stereo mode.) It also features a soft clipping circuit that distorts the delay sound and adds overtones to create a warm delay sound similar to vintage equipment, a 3-band EQ circuit with selectable frequencies to accommodate a variety of instruments, and many other features. The EQ circuit allows you to select the frequency to suit various instruments, and many other features are included. Furthermore, by changing the connection between the two built-in delays (parallel and series connection), a wide variety of sounds can be created.

「新たなサウンドの創造」。これがFUTURE FACTORY FF-1Y開発のキーワードでした。これまでモジュレーション機能を搭載したデジタルディレイが、多数生み出されてきましたが、一般的にモジュレーション機能に使うLFO(低周波発信器)の位相は、設定された周期で規則性を持って変化します。FUTURE FACTORYでは、信号が一定の減衰レベルを通過した際、ランダムに位相が変化する独自の方式でモジュレーションサウンドを作り出す事に成功しました。これにより、音が揺らめきながら浮き上がり、空間を埋め尽くす様なこれまでに無かったサウンドを創り出します。(ステレオモードで使用した時、この機能は最も効果を発揮します)また、ディレイサウンドを歪ませ、倍音を付加する事により、ビンテージ機材にも通じる暖かなディレイサウンドを作りだすソフト・クリッピング回路、様々な楽器に対応するために周波数の選択が可能な3バンドEQ回路など、多くの機能を搭載しています。さらに内蔵した2台のディレイの接続を変えて(パラレルとシリーズ接続)エフェクト処理することにより、多種多彩なサウンドを作り出すことができます。
