Made in Japan in the 1980's by FUJIGEN, a masterpiece of high-end basses! Ibanez MC924 is now in stock.

In the early 1980s, when active basses were released by various companies such as Alembic and Spector, the MUSICIAN BASS, or MC series, was released by gathering the best of Japanese technology.
The model we have just received is an original early model manufactured in 1981.

The neck is made of maple and walnut with a 5-piece through-neck construction, and the fingerboard is made of ebony with 24 frets, which is rigid and in good condition.
The body is made of winged mahogany sandwiched by sen.

This model was used by Sting of The Police, who was rapidly gaining popularity worldwide at the time, and its popularity in Japan accelerated.
This is the very same MC924 fretted model that appeared in the official music videos for the famous songs "Message in a Bottle" and "Can't Stand Losing You".

The pickups are very early ones with two IBZ Super 4s, and the controls are 2 volume, tone, boost and cut knobs, 3 EQ, PU selector, and active/passive switch.

It has been checked and overall adjusted by our professional repair staff after arrival and is in excellent playing condition.
