A 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom Sunburst has just arrived!!

This 1974 model features serial number 109002 and pot date 13774XX. It bears a "2" stamp, indicating it is a second-grade instrument from that era.

It features specifications unique to this era, including a 3-piece mahogany neck with a volute and a body with a so-called “pancake” construction—maple sandwiched between layers of mahogany.

It is equipped with two original “sticker-numbered PAF (T-Top)” pickups. The sound is clear with good projection and a moderate attack, making it very playable.

The “Pot Date” is visible in one location, confirming a 1974 manufacturing date. While the rest is obscured by dirt or solder and illegible, there are no signs of replacement, so we have determined these to be original.

The pickguard, bridge, control knobs, and pickup escutcheons have been replaced. The third-string tuner shows some bending, but it functions properly.

The frets are set low, but playability—including the truss rod—is excellent. The essential parts have been kept original, making this a guitar in overall good condition.
