USED Gretsch / 1965 6120 Chet Atkins [05]

A 1964 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins has arrived!!

Serial No.: 67902; Pot Date: 137652X, indicating this is a 1965 model.

Featuring a 16-inch wide double cutaway body, this guitar has a maple body and neck, with a rosewood fingerboard. It is equipped with two original Filter 'Tron pickups. Its crisp, clean sound is perfect for country and rockabilly. The Bigsby tremolo is also original.

The controls are traditional in style, consisting of a master volume, individual pickup volumes, a standby switch, a pickup selector switch, and a tone switch. The mute switch (missing) has been removed.

The original Pot Date: 137652X is present, and the selector switch and other switches are also original.

We have replaced the nut, slightly filed down the bridge grooves, re-glued the peeling binding and smoothed out any unevenness, repaired the loose 5th fret side position, and performed a full setup. We kept the binding repair to a minimum, so some minor cracks remain, but we have corrected them to a condition that does not affect playability.

There are some scratches and dents commensurate with its age, but playability is excellent.
