Iconic Japanese Vintage! A new PJ-type Moon has just arrived!

This instrument, likely a custom model, is from Moon, a long-established Japanese component brand. The logo reading “Moon Custom Bass” is believed to be quite rare these days.
In terms of body shape, it closely resembles the brand’s original “Groove Master” model. The body binding features a design not found on recent models.
The pickup layout is also PJ, but the bridge pickup is protected by what appears to be conductive tape rather than a cover.

While there is some age-appropriate wear—such as scratches and dents on the body, as well as tarnish and rust on parts—the truss rod functions well. Although there is a shim inserted at the joint, the neck does not appear to have any significant damage.

This is a rare gem—perhaps there are some of you out there who have been searching for just such a piece. Don’t miss this opportunity.
