The American Original ‘60s Jazz Bass offers modern playability in addition to the legendary styling and tone of the original model that made Fender’s name known in studios and on stages around the world.

The Pure Vintage ’64 Jazz Bass single-coil pickups featured on this model faithfully reproduce the original specifications—from the enamel-coated coil wire to the cross-cover output wire, fiber bobbins, and Alnico 5 magnets. The punchy sound produced by these pickups is the very essence of the legendary bass tone that shaped modern music.

The slim ‘60s C neck shape and 9.5-inch radius rosewood fingerboard provide the agile playability modern players demand.Featuring vintage tall frets, the original model’s body radius, hardware including a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge, a vintage-style hard case, and a lacquer finish that delivers superb tone and exquisite patina, this instrument reflects the iconic specifications of the ’60s model down to the finest details while offering the playability modern players demand.
The body has numerous fine dents, scuffs, and playing marks. There is paint chipping near the control panel and around the screw holes on the neck joint plate. There is a small dent on the back of the 8th fret on the neck.
