The 2024 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection '59 Reissue—crafted to recreate a legendary guitar—is now in stock as a used model!

It features a cool, bold, and powerful figure, and at 3.97 kg, it’s a lightweight model that’s been popular in recent years.

The body features a carefully selected two-piece figured maple top paired with a solid, lightweight mahogany back, an “Authentic ’59 Medium C-Shape” mahogany neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard.
It features a VOS-finished Washed Cherry Sunburst, with the mahogany stained using aniline dye. Hide glue (animal glue) was used to bond the neck to the body and the top to the back, enhancing the resonance of the wood.

It is equipped with a set of “Custombucker Alnico III (Unpotted)” pickups, which reproduce the distinctive mellow sound of vintage guitars and offer excellent touch response.
The hardware also features a VOS finish, and parts such as the tuning pegs and knobs are True Historic components designed to closely match the period’s aesthetic.
There are wipe marks on the body top, as well as numerous fine dents near the edge on the underside of the body end. There are also some very fine scratches and dents, but no major damage. There is some color transfer from the mahogany wood onto the binding on the side of the neck. Due to the VOS finish, the metal parts show some tarnish and rust, which were present even when the guitar was new.
The guitar has been cleaned and fully adjusted since arrival and is ready for use.
