An all-solid folk-style guitar! ARE-treated top, mahogany sides and back!

By incorporating feedback from numerous guitarists and technicians—such as rounding the edges of the fingerboard and carefully designing the neck taper to ensure a comfortable grip even near the body joint—we’ve pursued a natural playing feel and superior playability.
It’s easy to play even in the high frets, and since it feels natural even when switching from an electric guitar, it delivers exceptional playability in a variety of settings, including live performances, recording, and practice.

Using Yamaha’s proprietary analysis technology, we’ve refined the bracing system, incorporating a newly designed scalloped bracing pattern on the top and bracing specifically developed for cutaway models on the back.
This achieves a rich, full-bodied sound—despite the cutaway—and powerful resonance in the mid-to-low range!

The body features a cutaway and a tapered folk-style shape; it is all-solid, with Sitka spruce for the top and mahogany for the sides and back.

The spruce top has been treated with our proprietary “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)” process. This produces a rich tone reminiscent of a guitar that has been played for many years!!

The pickup system features the newly developed “SRT2” system, a further evolution of the “SRT (Studio Response Technology)” system.
While retaining the sound quality characteristics of the “SRT” system—which delivers an acoustic sound rich in ambiance, as if recorded by a top-tier sound engineer in a studio—the system has been streamlined by carefully selecting only essential functions, resulting in excellent playability ideal for stage performances and practice sessions.
The pickup unit features a piezo pickup with independent elements for each string, allowing players to easily create their desired sound by blending the piezo pickup’s sound with that of the “SRT2” system.
Furthermore, you can choose between two different microphone types to suit your playing style and the songs you’re performing.

The design eschews flashy embellishments, yet by using wood for the binding around the body’s perimeter and the soundhole inlay, it creates an organic, high-quality impression that conveys the warmth of wood.
The pickguard features a striking design inspired by the “N1000” acoustic guitar, a model favored by top artists in the 1970s.
