USED Fender Custom Shop / Master Built 1963 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Faded Aged Lake Placid Blue by Andy Hicks [3.32kg]

Made by Andy Hicks, who has experience building guitars for many brands including Jackson, Gretsch, and James Tyler. This is a Fender Custom Shop 1963 Stratocaster Heavy Relic ordered by Ishibashi Musical Instruments.

Body is "2-Piece Ash" with "Lacquer" paint. Neck is "Quartersawn Maple" with "Nitrocellulose Lacquer" paint. Fingerboard is "Round-Rosewood". Neck shape is "60 Style Oval "C" with 9.5" radius fretboard. Fret size is "6150 Medium Jumbo" with 21 frets. The slim neck and larger frets provide high playability.

Hand-wound "Josefina Compos Custom Shop Fat50s Strat Single Coil" pickups by master pickup winder "Josefina Campos" are installed. Strat Blender w/Greasebucket Tone & Tone Saver" controls are used. This allows for a mix of pickups. Other controls reduce the abrupt drop of the original sound.

The finish is Lake Placid Blue Heavy Relic. The pickguard is also tortoiseshell, giving it a vintage look. Realistic vertical cracks and peeling paint are reproduced, showing Andy's high skill.

It has a slightly more used look than when it was sold. The fretboard has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret adjustment) upon arrival, and the fret board is high enough to play well.
