USED Martin / 000-42ECJM (65of100) Eric Clapton Custom Edition [2011]

This is one of only 100 pieces produced in a limited edition in Japan!

In 1992, Eric Clapton's use of a 1939 000-42 on "MTV Unplugged" brought this model to the attention of guitar fans around the world.
The first signature model 000-42EC was also famously released in 1995.
And this model, of which 100 were produced in 2011 as a limited edition in Japan, is a reproduction of the 1939 000-42.

Made in Nazareth factory, USA.
Top is 45 grade (premium grade) Adirondack spruce, and Side/Back are made of Madagascar rosewood.
Forward-shifted scalloped X bracing with ebony bridge and long saddle.
The 24.9" (632.5mm) scale, select hardwood V-shape neck is approximately 44.5mm wide at the nut and has an ebony fingerboard applied.
The fingerboard has snowflake inlays and signatures on the end.
The Madagascar rosewood head plate has the same horizontal script logo (gold letters with black border) as the 1939 model, and the pegs are Waverly open backed.

There are some paint chips and bumps on the binding due to drying, but this is part of the lacquer coating process.
There are some scratches and minor dents and dings, but the overall impression is clean and playability is good.

The response is superb, and it responds to both weak and strong touches in a full range.
This is what I mean when I say that there is no stress in the sound! This is a gem that makes you think, "This is what it means to have no stress in sound!
Not only the gorgeous shining inlays, but also the sound quality is gorgeous!
