Op-amp based classic overdrive

The Design-A-Drive is based on a classic op-amp based low or medium gain overdrive. The unique "Width" and "Edge" controls allow you to reshape (design) the frequency response of the circuit to suit any setup, allowing you to intuitively create a wide range of sounds.

We often hear users complain that they want a little more fatness or too much low end depending on the guitar or amp they are using, but we recommend this overdrive to those users who are feeling a little bored. Edge" is an overdrive with a wide range of tones!

The "Edge" controls the top end of the frequency spectrum, simultaneously adjusting two separate filters (a gentle treble roll-off and a more powerful cut in the high presence region) that affect the aggressiveness of the hard clipping diodes in the circuit. Together, these three functions do exactly what their names suggest. They allow you to adjust the exact amount of byte, grit, and brightness you need.

The "Width" does exactly what its name implies. This six-position rotary switch reshapes the midrange response of the pedal, gradually lowering the midrange peak and adding bass as you move from "Thin" to "Fat." This control allows you to instantly create a tone while specifying the frequency spectrum in which the amp will be pushed.

The "Gain" and "Level" controls are designed to be equally useful and versatile. With the gain turned down, there is still enough level to allow the pedal to function as a powerful tone shaper and clean boost, either on its own or in combination with other drives and fuzzes.

Design-A-Driveは、オペアンプベースのクラシカルなローゲイン?ミディアムゲインのオーバードライブを基本としていますが、独自の「Width」と「Edge」コントロールを搭載し、あらゆるセットアップに合う様に回路の周波数レスポンスをリシェイプ(デザイン)する事ができ、幅広い音作りを直感的に行えます。

〇〇のレプリカといったタイプのオーバードライブであれば、お使いのギターやアンプによっては、あともう少し太さが欲しい、ローが出過ぎているなど、ちょっとしたご不満をお持ちのユーザーの声もよく聞きますが、そういった食傷気味のユーザーにお勧めできる守備範囲の広い正統派トーンを持つオーバードライブです！

「Edge」は、周波数スペクトルのトップエンドを制御し、2つの個別のフィルター (穏やかなトレブルのロールオフとハイプレゼンス領域でのより強力なカット) を同時に調整し、回路のハードクリッピングダイオードの攻撃性に影響を与えます。これら3つの関数を組み合わせて、その名前が示す通りの事を行います。 必要な量のバイト、グリット、明るさを正確に調整する事ができます。

「Width」はまさにその名前が示す通りの機能を果たします。この6ポジションのロータリー スイッチは、ペダルのミッドレンジレスポンスを再形成し、「シン」から「ファット」に移行するにつれて、徐々にミッドレンジのピークを下げ、低音を追加します。このコントロールを使用すると、アンプがプッシュされる周波数スペクトルを指定しながら、トーンを即座に作成できます。

「Gain」と「Level」コントロールも同じ様に便利で広範囲に使える様に設計しました。ゲインを下げても十分なレベルが残っているため、ペダルを単独で、または他のドライブやファズと組み合わせて、強力なトーンシェイパーおよびクリーンブーストとして機能させる事ができます。
