MARSHALL's "guv'nor" effects pedal governor is now in stock in used condition!
The Guv'Nor was originally designed and released in 1988 by Marshall engineer Steve Grindrod with the proposition to "capture the sound of a Marshall stack in a pedal. It was used by many blues, rock, and heavy metal players at the time, and became even more famous when Gary Moore used it on the artwork for his "Still Got the Blues" album.

This pedal is MADE IN ENGLAND with green base, early model.
Compared to the KOREA-made model, the response in the mid and low frequency range is very good, and the equalizer has a wide range of effects, so this famous English-made governor is still used by many players.

The Guv’Norは、1988年にマーシャルのエンジニアであるSteve Grindrodが「マーシャル・スタックのサウンドをペダルに取り込む」という命題を受け、設計・発売されたのが始まりです。当時は非常に多くのブルース、ロック、ヘヴィメタル系のプレイヤーに使用されましたが、とりわけGary Mooreがこのペダルを使用し、アルバム「Still Got the Blues」のアートワークにも使用したことで更にその名が知られるようになりました。

こちらの個体はMADE IN ENGLAND 緑基盤、前期型です。
KOREA製に比べて中低域のレスポンスが非常に良く、イコライザーの効きも幅広いため、今もなお多くのプレイヤーに愛用されている名機、イングランド製ガバナーです。
