Studio Grade Compressor Pedal for Bass with Impact on the Low End

The Cali76-CB is a studio-grade FET compressor pedal with two useful functions: parallel compression and sidechain filter. It inherits all the advantages of the original Cali76, but adds features that are ideal for bass sound creation and condenses them into a size that fits easily on a pedalboard.

The Attack/Release settings are now controlled simultaneously with a single knob, allowing the Cali76-CB to maximize its power at any point, making it easy to access the most effective settings. 1176-type compressors can cause unpleasant low-frequency distortion depending on the parameter settings. The Cali76-CB is designed to avoid such mis-settings. The jewel lamp attached to the center of the pedal functions as a gain reduction meter with a three-step color change.

In addition to its musical FET fast response and low noise characteristics, the Cali76-CB has two additional unique features not found in other pedals.

The first is the DRY control. The first is the DRY control, which blends the unaffected DRY signal with the compression tone to achieve true parallel compression. An indispensable technique in the studio recording world, parallel compression allows the Cali76's signal amplification to add depth to the sound while maintaining natural dynamics changes during play. The second is the HPF control, inspired by a studio engineer's handbook: the Cali76-CB has a high-pass filter that allows you to adjust the frequency at which the effect is applied, so that frequencies below the set value remain raw and uncompressed. The frequencies below the set value are not compressed, leaving the raw sound. The low strings come back to life and regain their solidity, power, and dynamics, while the high strings are tightly compressed to effectively suppress the sudden peaks caused by slapping and hard picking. The Cali76-CB is equipped with unique features never before available, making sound-making as if it were operated by your own studio engineer.
