USED Tokai / ST60 YS / Springy Sound [3.41 kg / Manufactured in 1981]

This is the Tokai ST-60, “Made in Japan” with its “Springy Sound,” which has many loyal fans both in Japan and abroad.

The ST-60 features a “60” engraving at the neck end. It has an alder or SEN WOOD body, a maple U-shaped neck, an 8-screw single-ply pickguard, three ST Vintage pickups, a 5-way selector switch, Tokai original Kluson-style tuners, a button-style string guide, and a pressed saddle.

This Japan Vintage Tokai model, highly popular both domestically and internationally, is crafted to recreate the specifications of the 1950s.

The back panel is missing, and the nut has been replaced. There are signs of wear (including impact marks, scratches, scuffs, playing lines, picking marks, darkening along the fretboard edges, and tarnish, pitting, or rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

Setup (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling) was completed upon arrival. While the fret tops are slightly lower due to leveling, they remain at a height suitable for playing. The truss rod can be adjusted in both tightening and loosening directions and has been verified to function properly within a range of ±60°.
