USED Gibson / 1950s J-45 Original Vintage Sunburst w/L.R. Baggs VTC [Made in 2024]

This is the Gibson “Original Collection” 50s-style J-45 Original, which was added to the lineup in 2020.

The body is all-solid, featuring a Sitka spruce top and mahogany sides and back—the classic J-45 specifications. It features scalloped X-bracing and a single-ring rosette.It features a straight saddle, and the Gibson-scale mahogany neck has a familiar round profile. It is equipped with a set of three Kluson-style tuners and an L.R. Baggs VTC pickup, allowing for volume and tone control via the soundhole edge.

The nitrocellulose lacquer finish (gloss) and the glue-in dovetail neck joint are familiar features.

Signs of use are visible (including paint discoloration and roughness around the edges from being stored in a case, scuffs, wipe marks, picking marks, buckle marks, and tarnish or pitting on metal parts, etc.).

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, fret leveling, and body buffing); the frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions (tightening and loosening), with operation confirmed up to ±60°.

Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is suitable for normal use.
