USED Fender USA / Vintage Series 1957 Stratocaster FRD (Fiesta Red) [3.79 kg / 1990]

Fender USA (Custom Shop) 1957 Stratocaster, manufactured in 1990.This guitar features stamps from Art Esparza, who became a Master Builder in 1994, as well as stamps from the “Oval Logo” era when the Custom Shop was still a small operation. It has an alder body, a one-piece maple neck with a neck profile close to a D(U) shape, Neck Date: Jul 2-N, Pot Date: R1379022, a 3-way selector switch, and original pickups.

It comes with a generic, non-original soft case, and the strap pin was replaced with a new one upon arrival. The guitar shows significant sun fading, darkening and paint chipping on the fingerboard, stand marks on the back of the neck and the lower part of the body, extensive paint damage across the back of the body, a crack in the pickguard below the selector switch, inconsistent action across the tuning pegs, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on the metal parts, among other issues.

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). The originally narrow fret tops are at a height that does not interfere with playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both tightening and loosening directions; its operation has been verified up to ±60°.
