The Schaffer Replica - Storm analyzes and recreates the Schaffer-Vega Diversity System wireless units used by legendary guitarists of the 1970s and 1980s (Angus Young,David Gilmour, EVH, and others) used from the 1970s through the 1980s. It features a 100% analog optical limiter, EQ expander, harmonic clipping circuit, boost, and line buffer circuit.

This unique combination reproduces unparalleled string separation, percussive attack, rich harmonics, and singing sustain, recreating the sound of historic guitar tracks.

The Storm, part of the Schaffer Replica lineup, features three controls: GAIN, BOOST, and LIMITER.

GAIN:
By adjusting the signature clipping circuit, you can emphasize the low-mid frequencies, adding punch to a sound reminiscent of Angus Young’s guitar tone and making it stand out in the mix.

BOOST:
By controlling the powerful preamp, it provides up to 31 dB of clean boost. It’s ideal for making lead parts stand out, adding thickness to your sound, or driving your amp.

LIMITER:
Controls the opto-isolator limiter. It limits the audio signal before it enters the pedal circuit, naturally raising the overall level while avoiding clipping and distortion. You can fine-tune the sensitivity when using pickups with different output levels or when seeking a percussive attack.
