This is a 1978 Gibson Hummingbird Custom.

It has a typical Gibson acoustic square shoulder, spruce top with mahogany sides and back, rose fretboard with a block inlay 3P neck typical of the 70s, Gibson pegs with tulip buttons, pickguard with an impressive hummingbird, and rich sound. The nut is 43mm wide and 25mm wide.
The nut width is just over 43mm, 25.5" long scale, and double X-bracing specs.

This is a model with 70's characteristics and a stately look.

Nut has been replaced and shows signs of use (color fading, pickguard and body top flexing, cracks in the binding, dents and scratch marks, scuffs and play marks, noticeable picking marks, fogging of metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage). The broken handle of the case has been repaired with a bandage. * Bridge pins and end pins have been replaced.

The fretboard has been set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, mortise and groove adjustment, nut replacement, PG gluing, and bridge filling gluing). The truss rod is adjustable in the tightening and loosening directions and has been tested to ±60°.

Gibsonアコースティック・スクエアショルダーの代表格、スプルース・トップにマホガニー・サイド＆バック、ローズ指板には70年代特有のブロックインレイ・3Pネック、チューリップボタンのGibsonペグ、印象的なハチドリが描かれたピックガード、豊かな鳴りが特徴の一本です。
43mm強のナット幅、25.5"ロングスケール、ダブルXブレーシングスペック。

70年代の特徴を備えた雰囲気あるモデル、風格あるルックスに仕上がった一本です。

ナット交換、使用感(色ヤケ、ピックガード・ボディトップのたわみ、バインディングのクラック、打痕やスクラッチ痕、スレや弾きスジ、目立つピッキング痕、金属パーツやネジ類の曇り、等々の外観ダメージ)が見られます。ケースのハンドル破損を結束バンドで補修されています。* ブリッジピン・エンドピンは交換されています。

入荷時にセットアップ(クリーニング・弦交換・ロッド調整・すり合わせ・ナット交換・PG部分接着、ブリッジ充填接着)済み、フレット山はすり合わせにより若干低めながら演奏に問題ない高さがあり、トラスロッドは締める方向・緩める方向調整可能で±60°まで動作確認済みです。
