The combination of the SSL-1/SSL-1RwRp, which features a clean tone with sparkling highs, and the covered Custom5, which creates a unique humbucking sound with just the right amount of brightness and stickiness, can be used to create a wide range of sounds. The rear humbucker is also equipped with a coil tap, making it one that can be used in a wide variety of music genres.

The tremolo unit is a Wilkinson VS-50. The combination of Grover locking tuners and Graph Tech Black TUSQ nuts and string retainers ensure stable tuning while providing smooth arming.
