Gibson's Japan Limited Les Paul Special is now in stock, made in 2014.
The Special was originally lined up as a Student model with a flat body instead of having an arched maple top like the Standard.
In Japan, this model is very popular especially due to the influence of several professional guitarists who love to use TV Yellow as a symbol, and it was lined up as a Japan-only model with specifications close to the original when the Junior Special with different specifications was lined up in its home country.
The wrap-around bridge and P-90 pickups give it a light and wild sound that is completely different from the standard model.

The neck condition is currently fine. The truss rod has room in both directions.
There is a slight dent on the low position frets. The pitch is not affected.
There is a paint chip at the base of the head surface.

There are probably a few artists that come to mind when you think of yellow specials. If you are a follower of these artists, this is one you should not miss.

スタンダードのようにトップにアーチを描いたメイプルを拵えることなく、フラットなボディで当初スチューデントモデルとしてラインナップされていたスペシャル。
日本では特にTV Yellowを象徴として愛用する複数のプロギタリストの影響で人気が高く、本国では仕様が変わったJunior Specialがラインナップされていた時期にオリジナルに近い仕様で、日本限定でラインナップされたモデルとなります。
ラップアラウンドタイプのブリッジ、P-90ピックアップによりスタンダードとは全く違った、軽やかでワイルドなサウンドが魅力となっています。

ネックコンディションは現状問題ありません。トラスロッドは両方向に余裕があります。
ローポジションのフレットにやや凹みが見られます。ピッチに影響はございません。
ヘッド表面の付け根部分に塗装欠けが見られます。

イエローのスペシャル、といえば思い浮かぶアーティストが何名かいるのではないでしょうか。彼らのフォロワーであれば見逃せない一本でしょう。
