The 2014 Marquis Collection HD-28V is now in stock.
The HD-28V model has been in the Vintage Series category since its introduction in the 90's until 2011, when it was added to the Marquis Collection... The HD-28V is a lower model than the Authentic and Marquis models, but it is the most basic and standard model.
It was added to the Authentic/Vintage Series in the category reform around 2017. (In the same year, the HD-28 was also introduced in the New Standard Series with various minor changes.)

The fretboard width at the nut position is 1-11/16" (approx. 42.86mm), which is a narrow size, so players who do not like the 1-3/4" (approx. 44.5mm) of the current model may not want to miss this.
The grip feel is a narrow width soft V-grip molding, so you may be able to play without effort in both seha form and shake hand.

Appearance Condition
There are dents on frets 1 through 5, but they are gentle and faint, so it may be better to do fret repair after they are more clearly reduced.
The body has a few scratches and dings that can be counted, but the neck and headstock are clean and beautiful with no noticeable damage.
The binding on the waist of the body may have some noticeable signs of peeling (glue sticking out, bumps, etc.). Also, the binding on the back side seems to have had a strong tendency to shrink, and there are some gaps, but this may have been inevitable due to the age of 11 years, the weather conditions in Japan, and the storage conditions. However, it may be possible to restore it with a beautiful finish if a good repair is done when the binding problem recurs.
In my opinion, the sound is beautiful. The sound of this exceptional sound may more than compensate for the negative points of its appearance. (Some of our staff members have described the tone of this instrument as "dramatic.)

Neck condition: No problem as it is now.
Truss rod has room to spare.
