The Meridian Horizon 5-String Custom Bass from Italy’s premier workshop has arrived!

We have received the Horizon 5-string Custom Bass from Meridian Guitars, Italy’s premier handmade brand.
This is a pristine, beautiful instrument with no signs of heavy use or rough handling.
It is a rare, beautiful specimen in such pristine condition that there are no signs of serious wear from playing. (There are two small, faint dot-like scratches on the back of the body, but these do not appear to be from impact; rather, they seem to have been present on the raw wood before the finishing process. Of course, they do not affect playability.)
It was manufactured in May 2025.
Meridian Guitars handcrafts basses that are brimming with one-of-a-kind, artisanal elements.
Master luthier Davide Cardone painstakingly crafts each instrument in his workshop in Avezzano, Italy.
Strongly influenced by his background in painting, sculpture, and architecture, he designs his basses using the ellipse as a basic module.
In addition, he creates basses with a modern, sculptural style based on ergonomics.
He is also a pioneer in the contemporary use of rare and scarce woods.
In accordance with his philosophy, the wood used in production is carefully selected from materials that have been dried for 25 to 35 years.
The long maturation period of these materials prevents defects such as warping.
Furthermore, this results in complex, dense, and balanced acoustic characteristics that are tangibly realized.
The electronics used are from the highest-grade, world-class brands.
These systems are built around Bartolini and Delano pickups, paired with high-performance preamp systems by John East and Mike Pope.

It is in the same condition as when it was completed, so it is a fully original instrument.
