A high-quality, standard-grade Japanese semi-hollow body guitar from 1982!

The AS-100 features a plain top design with simple ornamentation. Although it is a lower-grade model compared to the AS-200—which features a figured top, an ebony fingerboard, and luxurious fingerboard inlays—it uses the same materials and pickups, making it a great value.

The body is a maple semi-hollow design. The neck is mahogany, and the neck shape is finished relatively thin overall, typical of Ibanez. The scale length is 24 3/4 inches, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

It is equipped with the original "Super58" pickup, which remains a staple in Ibanez's box-style models to this day.

The nut has been replaced, and the capacitor has been swapped out for a Soviet-made oil capacitor, the K40-Y9 (0.022 uF, 1000 V).

The pickguard has a generally dull appearance and shows picking scratches. There is a rice-grain-sized dent on the neck side between the two pickups, near the 3rd string. The body has scattered wipe marks, scuff marks, and very small dents. On the lower left of the body top, there is a faint line of scuff marks and scratches. There is a faint paint crack at the neck joint inside the 6th-string cutaway. There are occasional gaps in the paint along the binding. On the back of the body, there is a buckle mark in the lower center, with a scratch next to it. There are faint circular scratches around the strap pins from strap friction. On the back of the neck, near the 12th fret on the 2nd and 3rd strings, there is a faint impact mark.Additionally, on the back of the neck at the 7th fret on the 6th string, there is a faint, pea-sized area of clear coat peeling, with traces of touch-up repair. There is also a similarly small touch-up mark on the lower right corner of the headstock top. There are impact marks on both ends of the headstock. The rubber around the toggle switch shows signs of deterioration, and there is a crack on the inside of the neck pickup’s tone knob, though this does not affect functionality. The plating on the hardware shows signs of wear, but this is consistent with the instrument’s age.

The neck is in good condition; there are no string marks on the frets, nor any noticeable buzzing. Approximately 70% of the frets remain. The truss rod functions well and is adjustable. The current string action is set to approximately 2.0 mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret and approximately 1.5 mm on the 1st string.

Overall, there are no noticeable signs of wear or damage; it shows normal wear for its age. It is evident that the owner took good care of the instrument, as evidenced by touch-ups in various areas and the replacement of the capacitors.
