This full-acoustic model, designed specifically for the Japanese market, belongs to the “Artstar” line—Ibanez’s premium line of hollow-body guitars—which prioritizes sound, playability, and design.
It features a fully hollow body with a spruce top and flamed maple sides and back. The “Resonant Finish”—a thin matte finish applied to the sides and back—brings out a rich, resonant tone and gives the guitar an antique look that highlights the natural texture of the wood.
The neck features a three-piece Nyatoh/maple construction with a set-neck design. The bound ebony fingerboard is adorned with acrylic and abalone block inlays, and the instrument is finished with meticulous details befitting a high-end series, including Artstar fret-edge treatment and a cowbone nut.
It is equipped with two Super 58 humbuckers featuring Alnico magnets. The front pickup delivers a rich, sweet jazz tone, while the rear pickup offers a sound with clear definition and just the right amount of edge, making it versatile enough for everything from orthodox jazz to blues and jazz-funk.
Although there are signs of use, such as scattered dents near the 12th fret on the back of the neck, the guitar is in clean condition, having been cleaned and set up.
