The 2019 Epiphone Jared James Nichols “Old Glory” Les Paul Custom Outfit 2nd has arrived.
Based on the guitar favored by blues-rock guitarist Jared James Nichols, this limited-edition model is a 1950s-style Les Paul Custom equipped with a single rear pickup.
Featuring a set-neck construction with an ebony fingerboard, it’s equipped with a Seymour Duncan P-90, a Lightning Bar-style wrap-around bridge, and Grover Rotomatic tuners. Don’t miss the details unique to this special edition, such as the “BLUES POWER” plate under the bridge and the white stinger with a reproduction signature on the back of the headstock.
The control layout is simple, consisting only of Volume and Tone. It delivers the thick, open midrange and sharp response characteristic of a P-90, allowing you to enjoy a dynamic blues-rock sound that responds naturally to variations in picking dynamics and volume control.
This particular guitar has a faint “2ND” engraving on the back of the headstock, and the last three digits of the serial number appear to have been filled in. Additionally, there is a slight unevenness visible in the binding. The specific reason it was classified as a “2nd” model is unknown, but it does not affect playability.
Although there are some scratches on the body, it has been cleaned and set up and is in pristine condition.
