2023 Custom Shop-built 64ES-335 with underwound Custom Bucker is in stock!

The cutaway shape is a sharp cutaway horn type of the '64 type. The maple center block, which determines the sound, is hollowed out only on the first string side, which is one of the reasons for the light sound.

The neck shape is "Authentic '64 Medium C-Shape" based on the scanned data from the vintage actual instruments, which is not thin but rather meaty.

The PU was equipped with a Custom Bucker at the time of shipment, but it has been replaced by an underwound Custom Bucker at a repair store. The Custom Bucker has less turns and more harmonics and overtones, which is a sound that connoisseurs like. It has an edgy and clean sound.

There are scratches and line scratches on the body. The pickguard has some minor picking scratches, and some of the VOS has faded with use, but this does not detract from the overall feel of the instrument. There is a small line scratch on the tip of the first string side of the body top. There is a scratch on the left side of the front P. There is some paint discoloration on the right side of the back of the body. There is a peeling of paint on the top left tip of the head. All hardware has VOS aging, but there is little deterioration due to use.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets and about 90% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

The PU replacement is a welcome upgrade! The sunburst color and block position markings are surprisingly scarce in circulation, and even less so when it comes to used Custom Shop models made in recent years with high quality details and sound. This is one of the recommended Custom Shop models made in recent years with few signs of use!

2023年カスタムショップ製、アンダーワウンド仕様のカスタムバッカーに換装された64ES-335入荷!

パッと見の印象を決めるカッタウェイ形状は64年タイプのシャープなカッタウェイホーンタイプ。またサウンドを決めるメイプルのセンターブロックは1弦側部分のみくり貫かれた仕様で軽快なサウンドの一つの要因となっております。59年タイプのソリッドなものと比べると絶妙なエアー感や倍音でワイルドに掻き鳴らすと素直にカッコイイです。

ネックシェイプはヴィンテージ実器からのスキャン・データに基づいた『Authentic '64 Medium C-Shape』としており、薄めではなくどちらかというと肉付きが良いタイプですがクセは少なめで、ギブソンらしいネックフィーリングが堪能できます。

PUは出荷時にはCustom Buckerを搭載しておりましたが、こちらはリペアショップにてCustom Buckerのアンダーワウンド仕様に交換されております。名器カスタムバッカーのターン数を減らして倍音とハーモニクスをより明瞭した通好みのサウンド。エッジが効いて抜けの良いサウンドが特徴です。

ボディにはスリキズ、線キズがあります。ピックガードには細かい感じで一部ピッキングキズがあります。VOSが使用により一部薄くなっておりますが全体の雰囲気を損なう感じではありません。ボディトップ1弦側先端部分に小さな線キズがあります。フロントP左脇にはスリキズがあります。ボディバック右クビレ部分には使用により薄っすらと塗装が変質してますがよくみられる経年変化です。ヘッド左上先端部分に米粒大の塗装剥がれがあります。各ハードウェアにはVOSによるエイジングがありますが、使用による劣化は少なめです。

ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドは締める方向緩める方向に調整可能です。フレットには弦跡等は無く残りは9割程です。現状弦高は12F6弦側で約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.5mmで調整されております。

全体的には、ほんの少しだけ使用感はありますが不自然なダメージはなく良好なコンディションです。PU交換に関してはむしろグレードアップでウェルカムな感じです!サンバーストカラーにブロックポジションマークとなると意外と流通量が少なく、ハイクオリティなディテールとサウンドの近年製カスタムショップ製中古商材となると更に少なめ。使用感少ない近年製カスタムショップモデルにつきオススメの一本です!
