Navigator Telecaster-style guitars are now in stock!
While ESP offers original models, the brand “Navigator” has consistently maintained a lineup focused on traditional-style guitars.
Although the year of manufacture is unknown, based on its specifications, this appears to be a custom-built instrument.
It features a polyurethane-finished ash body and, in contrast to the body, a maple neck finished with lacquer.
It features specifications inspired by the ’50s style, such as a single-ply black pickguard and a triple-saddle bridge.
The bolt-on neck joint features a smooth, heel-less design, ensuring comfortable playability even on the higher frets.
Pickups: The model number of the front pickup is unknown (cross-wired type, with an “IO” sticker on the back and “SD 2” engraved with the year “98”); the rear pickup is a Seymour Duncan STK-T3B.
This guitar combines traditional style with excellent playability!
Overall, there are signs of wear, such as scratches, dents, and cracked finish.
Signs of aging, such as rust and tarnish, are visible on the metal parts.
The body end has numerous scratches, including paint cracks, peeling paint, and dents.
The headstock has scratches and dents, and the logo area has cracks and chips.
There is a slight step in the skunk stripe on the neck grip; while some players may find this uncomfortable, it does not affect playability.
The rear pickup has been replaced; additional holes were drilled during the rewiring process, and the pickup has been installed accordingly.
The fingerboard has been leveled (unvarnished), and the nut and frets have been replaced.
With the truss rod fully tightened, the neck has a slight forward bow; however, it has been adjusted to the standard string height by inserting a shim approximately 1.6 mm thick into the neck pocket. Currently, it is in good playing condition.
