One of Moon Guitars' original "Reggae Master" shapes, circa 1990.
This guitar has a bolt-on construction neck, maple fretboard, and a head with both the PGM logo and the old logo, making it a very rare piece, but also confirming many specs from the same period as the RM-DX-134. The red color is the standard specification in the catalog, but we assume that this instrument is probably a color variation of the time, or a custom-ordered black finish specification.
The body has a woody sound with warm mahogany tone. Two P-90 type pickups with MOON logo engraved are mounted on the body for fat and tight midrange. The shape of the pickguard is also different from the current model, with a cutting that seems to be the original design of the time.
As a whole, this guitar has the high precision that is typical of Moon and the individual feel that is unique to the PGM manufacturing era.
Due to the malfunction of the CROCODILE locking pegs, they have been replaced with GOTOH SDS510-MG (locking type).
There are some paint chips on the body side. There is a scratch on the tip of the cutaway that has reached the wood.
There is a sticker mark on the left side of the front pickup. Overall, the paint is tanning.
Overall, there are scratches, dents, and rust on the metal, showing signs of use.
The truss rod is near the end of its tightening point and is currently warped. The frets have been fretted and there are currently no playability issues.
Item Rank: B: Fairly scratched and used, but no problems in normal use.
