USED Fender Japan / 1985 ST62-55 3-Tone Sunburst [11]

The ST62-55 was manufactured during Fender Japan's golden age in the early 1980s.
This model was designed based on the 1962 spec Stratocaster, and is a representative of the Japan Vintage era, which is still highly regarded today for its excellent build and sound.
The serial number of this model is A011081, and the date "11.2.84" can be seen on the neck end. Also, "STD-62" is stamped on the neck joint of the body, and from this information, it can be judged that this guitar was manufactured at Fujigen Musical Instruments from the end of 1984 to the beginning of 1985. The highly accurate assembly, typical of early Fender Japan, and the sound of the wood that has settled down over the years are appealing.
The body is made of basswood, and the maple neck is combined with rosewood fretboard. 7.25" radius vintage fretboard with 21 frets gives you the feeling of playing a Strat of that time.
Three single coils are mounted on the pickups, which can handle a wide range of tones from clean tones with good rise and core to sticky drive tones.
The front tone pot has been replaced due to a defect.
The volume pot rotation has become slightly stiffer.
The entire body shows scratches, dents, rust and tarnish on metal parts, and tanning on the paint, indicating that the guitar has been played for many years and is in good condition. On the other hand, there is no warping or twisting of the neck, and playability remains excellent.
