This guitar was created as a signature model for Kenji Kitajima, a guitarist who helped shape Japan’s rock scene.
Kenji Kitajima performed as the guitarist for the Japanese rock band FENCE OF DEFENSE and also participated in numerous performances as a session guitarist for TM NETWORK. This guitar was personally designed by him, from the body and pickups down to the wiring, with him drawing the blueprints himself during the manufacturing process.

A distinctive feature of this guitar’s design is the “stability toward the bottom” in its overall balance.While featuring smooth curves, the body’s lower section is given substantial volume to ensure stability as a foundation for absorbing string vibrations. Additionally, by setting the waist position slightly higher, it achieves both a comfortable fit during performance and excellent maneuverability. Furthermore, the controls are grouped on a stepped surface, creating a practical layout designed with stage use in mind—such as minimizing the risk of accidentally touching the knobs during a performance.

In terms of sound, the design centers on a “tight, focused tone.” By incorporating the latest assembly technology of its time, it naturally blends modern clarity with vintage-like nuances. The rear humbucker, in particular, is powerful; when driven, it produces a sound with a distinctive weight and strong presence. For clean tones, rolling back the front volume knob brings out a delicate, deep expression.

Additionally, it features a push/pull Bi-Sound switch, enabling a wide range of tone shaping from humbucker to single-coil-like sounds. It offers the flexibility to handle everything from live performances to recording sessions.

Now discontinued, this is a rare model that combines a design geared toward professional use with the exceptional craftsmanship characteristic of a Japanese-made signature model.
The screw securing the locknut cap has been replaced with a 4mm screw.
There are numerous scratches overall, along with dents and tarnished metal, showing signs of use.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
