USED Gibson / Early 1960s J-45 Ebony [11]

The Gibson Custom Shop Early 1960s J-45 has arrived.
As indicated by the orange label and "CUSTOM SHOP" inscription, this is a high-end model crafted from carefully selected materials and assembled with precision.
While based on early 1960s specifications, this model features a fixed saddle rather than an adjustable one. This design fully harnesses the top’s resonance, bringing out the J-45’s inherent rich tone.
The sound is the quintessential J-45 tone, featuring a well-balanced blend of full-bodied bass, focused mids, and smooth, natural highs. It offers a cohesive, forward-sounding strumming tone and a natural, well-defined single-note response when played with fingers.
Furthermore, it is equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickup, making it ready for immediate use in live performances and recording sessions.
The slightly slim neck ensures excellent playability.
This is a practical, battle-tested instrument that combines exceptional tone with high practicality.
There is a spot where the finish has melted near the neck heel (around the strap pin), which has been touched up; however, it appears to have been done as a DIY repair and has been painted over. The logo on the pickguard has almost completely faded.
Otherwise, there are signs of wear throughout, including scratches, dents, and some discoloration on the parts.
Since there is some warping and a slight bow in the neck, we have performed a setup including a neck adjustment,
and there are currently no issues with its playability.
