1979年に登場したBOSS初のコンパクト・コーラスとして知られる名機「CE-2」。
CE-1のサウンドを受け継ぎながら、扱いやすいコンパクトサイズへと落とし込まれたモデルで、現在もヴィンテージ・コーラスの定番として高い人気を誇ります。
本機はMade in Japan、Black Label仕様の個体。シリアル番号から1981年頃に製造されたものと思われます。アナログBBDならではの温かみと艶のある揺らぎが魅力で、クリーントーンに立体感を加える用途はもちろん、歪みサウンドの後段で使用した際にも自然な広がりを演出してくれます。
コントロールはRATEとDEPTHのみというシンプルな構成ながら、どのセッティングでも音楽的にまとまりやすく、長年にわたり多くのギタリストに支持されてきた理由を実感できるサウンドです。
多少の傷や汚れ等の使用感がありますが、動作に問題ございません。

Building on the sound of the CE-1, this model was designed in a compact, user-friendly size and remains highly popular today as a staple among vintage chorus pedals.
This unit is a “Made in Japan” Black Label model. Based on its serial number, it is believed to have been manufactured around 1981. Its appeal lies in the warm, lustrous modulation unique to analog BBDs; it not only adds depth to clean tones but also creates a natural sense of spaciousness when used after a distorted sound.
Although the control layout is simple—featuring only RATE and DEPTH—it blends musically well at any setting, and its sound truly demonstrates why it has been favored by so many guitarists for so many years.
It shows some signs of use, such as minor scratches and dirt, but functions perfectly.
