Based on a Fender Japan Jazz Bass model believed to date from the early 1990s, this instrument has been modified with a Bartolini TCT preamp wiring setup. Featuring a four-knob configuration—including a master volume, balancer, and active low- and high-frequency controls—it offers the appeal of quick and easy adjustment to your desired sound, unlike a passive two-volume setup.
The quick response and bright attack characteristic of a maple fingerboard are complemented by the TCT’s solid low end and well-defined highs, resulting in a sound with clear contours that won’t get lost in a band ensemble.
